Rajakkad

Rajakkad is a town in the Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala situated in the Western Ghats. It is one of Kerala's fastest growing towns. Rajakkad is famous for its cardamom plantations and tourist attractions. It is situated at the heart of Idukki district. Most of Rajakkad's inhabitants depend on farming. The main crops are elaichi, black pepper, cardamom and ginger. As of 2011, Rajakkad had a population of 16,378 with 8,219 males and 8,159 females.
